TaxBit is excited to support PayPal customers with free 8949s and income reports for tax year 2021. This is a proprietary integration that leverages the TaxBit Enterprise API. Note that this integration will only work for users who sold cryptocurrency on PayPal in 2021.
Connection Steps
In order to connect your PayPal account, you must be logged into your account on the same web browser with which you are logged into TaxBit.
Step 1: From any page on TaxBit, select "Add Sources" on the left hand side.
Step 2: Select "Search Sources" and in the search bar, search for PayPal. You'll then select PayPal and click "Next"
Step 3: With PayPal selected, select "Add Account"
Step 4: After selecting "Add Account", you may be asked to log into your PayPal account at this step if you are not already logged in. From there, it will establish the connection between PayPal and TaxBit.
Step 5: If your account was successfully linked, you will see the following in your account and need to select the sync Icon.
You will now see your PayPal transactions appear under the Transactions page. You can also check to see your PayPal connection under "Sources" in your account.
