Level of Support
Binance.US is a part of the TaxBit Network. That comes with assistance from our Customer Experience Team if needed. Members of the TaxBit Network will receive a premium experience in terms of higher levels of support and a seamless onboarding experience.
Here is a list of transactions that TaxBit supports from Binance US:
- Cash Voucher Distribution, Commision History, Fee, Realize profit and Loss, Usdt Futures Transactions, Realized Profit (Income if positive, Expense if negative)
- Launchpool Interest, Savings Interest, Referee Rebates (Income)
- Withdrawal (Transfer Out)
- Deposit (Transfer In)
- Distribution (Trades or Income)
- Trades (Trades, Buys, Sales depending on if USD was used or received)
- Buy
- Sell
Margin transactions are not supported. If you have Margin transactions from Binance US, you'll manually add these transactions as an ”Income” or "Expense" transaction in your TaxBit account according to this article: Contract Trades
Binance US transactions such as: Internal Transfers will not be included transaction types.
Connection Steps
Below you will find a detailed guide on connecting Binance.US to your TaxBit account.
Please Note: Both "Binance" and "Binance.US" are exchange options. Please be sure to select the appropriate option.
From your TaxBit account:
Step 1: Select "Add Sources"
Step 2: Search for and select Binance.US
Step 3: Select "Next"
From your Binance.US account:
Step 1: Navigate to the API Management page
A. Select the profile button in the top right corner
B. Select "API Management"
Step 2: Label and create your API Key
A. Enter a label to give your API Key a nickname. This can be anything you'd like.
B. Select "Create"
Step 3: Complete the MFA prompt (note: this step may look different depending on your settings)
Step 4: Go to your email inbox for the email registered to Binance.US. You will have an email from Binance asking you to confirm your request to create an API key. Select "Confirm API Key Creation" in the email from Binance.
Step 5: Input the API Key and Secret into your TaxBit Binance.US API page that you opened earlier in this guide. Be sure to add the API Key and Secret into the correct boxes in TaxBit.
A. The "API Key" is the "Key" in TaxBit
B. The "Secret Key" is the "Secret" in TaxBit
C. The API Access restrictions should be left on "Can Read" only for the API and "Unrestricted" for IP Access
Step 6: Once the "Key" and "Secret" have been copied and pasted into the correct fields in your TaxBit account, go ahead and hit "Connect".
Step 7: From there, you can go ahead and select the sync icon to begin the process of bringing over your transactions via API.
