If you have two or more accounts from the same exchange, it might not be clear how you add data from both of those accounts to TaxBit with API integration.
Luckily, we have two work-arounds to help get your alternative account data added to TaxBit, and the Support team is happy to help with either one if needed.
Option 1: Use API integration
Connect one account from the exchange using an API key and secret, then allow it to sync. Once it’s finished syncing, and the data has populated, you can remove the integration. Afterward, add the API key and secret for the next account and allow it to sync as well. Do this for each account you have on the exchange.
Keep in mind, if you choose this method, you’ll need to remove and re-add the API for each account every time you want to sync new data.
Option 2: Use CSV imports
You can link one account through API integration, and keep it synced. Then, you can use a CSV import for any alternate accounts.
Keep in mind, if you choose this method, you’ll need to upload a CSV anytime you want to add new data from the subsequent accounts.
If the exchange doesn’t have API integration, you’ll need to use CSV imports for all of the accounts.
