If the name field on your 8949 is incorrect or does not contain a name at all, no worries! While the name that appears on your 8949 is set during account setup, it can be changed if needed.
To do this, select the "Settings" tab at the bottom of the left hand navigation bar.
Underneath "User Settings" you'll see the "First Name" and "Last Name" fields of your account. The two fields determine what is displayed in the name field on your 8949. You may see an email address in one of those fields, or one of those fields may be blank or otherwise incorrect.
To edit those fields, all you need to do is select "Edit Profile", modify those two fields, then select "Save Changes".
