Edit Single Transaction
Once you've logged into your TaxBit account:
- Go to the Transactions tab on the left-hand side of your account.
- Locate the transaction you need to edit.
- On the far right of the transaction there's an icon with a pencil. Select that icon to edit your transaction.
- Then, fill out the necessary fields to edit your transaction.
- When you're done, make sure to hit "Save Changes"
Please Note: Depending on the transaction that you are editing, only certain fields of the transaction can be changed. BlockFi transactions will not be able to be edited or deleted unless they are manually added. If you are unable to edit a transaction, to troubleshoot we would recommend deleting the old transaction , and then manually add the transaction that is correct.
Once you've logged into your TaxBit account:
- Go to the Transactions tab on the left-hand side of your account
- Select the transaction you need to edit
- From there, select the "Edit" button in top right-hand corner
- Make the edits that you need by filling out the fields for that transaction
- When you're done, make sure to hit "Save Changes"
Bulk Edit & Delete Transactions
You now have the ability to bulk edit and delete transactions within your TaxBit account.
Bulk Delete:
- Navigate over to your Transactions page
- Select the little box on the left of the transactions you want to delete from your account
- A window will pop up to confirm that you want to delete those transactions, select "Delete"
Deleting all transactions from a particular source:
In some instances, bulk delete can be delayed if there is a larger volume of transactions being deleted at once. Another way to remove all transactions from a particular source is to remove the source from your account.
Step 1: Navigate over to your "Sources" tab
Step 2: Select "Manage" next to the source that you want to remove the transactions from
Step 3: Hit the little trash can icon
Step 4: Make sure that "Remove all transactions associated with the source" is selected
Step 5: Finish by hitting "Remove"
Bulk Edit:
For editing transactions types there are rules. You can't edit any transaction type to whatever you want. The transaction type select field will populate to what is supported. If you select a mix of transaction types that are not compatible, you will not be able to change the type. (Same with single editing of a transaction)
- The editable fields are Type, Source, and being able to add a memo
The transaction types you can edit together are: Transfer In, Income, and Gift Received can be edited together. Transfer Out, Expense, and Gift Sent can be edited together as well. All other types cannot be edited together, and the field will be greyed out if you select multiple transaction types together.
- Navigate over to your Transactions page
- Select the little box on the left of the transactions you want to edit together
- Fill out the fields that you need to edit
- Select "Submit Changes"
- A window will pop up to confirm the edits that you made to those transactions, select "Save"
