If you have one or more exchanges connected via API, you may be wondering how you can verify that it has been linked successfully.
There are a couple of ways to verify this:
Check the “Add Transactions” tab
If you have successfully linked your exchange via API, you will see it listed under the “My Exchanges” section of your “Add Transactions” tab. In this example, I have Coinbase and Kraken connected via API.
- You can sync all of the transactions in your account by clicking the “Sync All My Transactions” button under the “Add Transactions” tab (shown in the screenshot above). This will re-sync all of your API connected exchanges.
- Alternatively, you can sync individual API connections by clicking on the exchange name and selecting “Sync Exchange.”
*Note: You can see that there is a small message stating the last time Coinbase was synced. If you don’t see that note, don’t worry! It just means that that exchange hasn’t been re-synced in a while.
Once you use either option to sync your API connected exchange(s), you will see a notification pop up in the top right corner of your TaxBit page.
The first message will say:
The second message should say:
If you receive a message that says your sync failed, visit our helpful article titled: My Exchange Is Failing to Sync.
Seeing new transactions
After you have successfully synced your API, you can visit your My Transactions page to verify that your more recent transactions are appearing in TaxBit.
