If you have one or more exchanges connected via API, you may be wondering how you can verify that it has been linked successfully.
There are a couple of ways to verify this:
Check the “Sources” tab
If you have successfully linked your exchange via API, you will see it listed under your “Sources” tab. In this example, I have Coinbase connected via API.
Syncing successfully
1. You can sync all of the transactions in your account by clicking the “Sync All” button under the “Sources” tab (shown in the screenshot above). This will re-sync all of your API connected exchanges.
2. Alternatively, you can sync individual API connections by clicking "Manage" for the exchange you want to sync in the right hand corner and then hit the icon highlighted below to run a sync.
Once you use either option to sync your API connected exchange(s), you will see a notification pop up at the top of your TaxBit page. The message will say "Coinbase sync in progress...":
If you receive a message that says your sync failed, visit our helpful article titled: "My Exchange Is Failing to Sync".
Seeing new transactions
After you have successfully synced your API, you'll see two messages in your account saying that the sync is complete. They'll be one message at the top of your screen and one at the bottom of the screen. From there, you can visit your Transactions page to verify that your more recent transactions are appearing in TaxBit.
