Whenever you add an asset to your TaxBit account, our system is able to determine the market value for that asset if you're unsure or unable to provide the data. If you were unaware of your asset's market value when you acquired it, you don't have to worry about doing additional research to complete your transaction history. Please Note: There are times when TaxBit won't be able to get pricing from any of our providers.
Where does TaxBit get pricing information?
TaxBit leverages multiple pricing providers to get the most accurate data possible for our users. By using more than one provider, we have all the necessary data for the assets you record on TaxBit. If one provider isn't able to give us pricing information for a certain coin or token, no problem! We simply refer to our other providers.
Our top priority is making sure you have an accurate representation of your crypto assets and your tax forms are free of any discrepancies. We take the time to compare prices from each of our providers for the most precise information.
What to do if pricing is missing?
There are times when TaxBit won't be able to get pricing from any of our providers. You can edit your transaction to add the missing price information if you know what it's supposed to be. To double check if you are missing pricing on any of your assets: Go to your Transactions page > Filters > Missing Price.
