At the top of your My Transactions page, you'll see a gray bar that contains your options for filtering the transactional data in your account. We're always working to expand your options for parsing your data, but for now, the following options are available:
This allows you to filter based on transaction type. The available options are Buy, Sale, Trade, Income, Transfer-In, Transfer Out, Xfr-In-Out (shows all transfer data together), Gift Sent, and Gift Received. See TaxBit’s Transaction Types article for more information about those.
This filter allows you to isolate any data that may be flagged differently. The available options under this tab are Missing Cost Basis, Manually Edited, Missing Price, and Possibly Incorrect Price.
If you have no transactions that fall into the categories of Manually Edited, Missing Price, or Possibly Incorrect Price, then those options will not appear in your drop-down menu.
The only truly important filter in this list is “Missing Cost Basis” (AKA Unknown Gains). This is the only option that will always appear under the No Flags drop-down menu. Check out our articles about what this flag means.
This filter refers to the exchange on which a transaction took place. I.e. Transactions that came from Coinbase, or Gemini, etc.
This filter allows you to isolate the transactions by currency You can scroll through the list or type in the asset name or ticker.
Filter by an individual year, or view this month, last month, or select a custom range.
There is also an option to sort your My Transactions page either by newest or oldest transactions first, which can be found in the top right-hand corner.
*Important Note: When you've filtered your My Transactions list down to an abridged list of transactions, exporting your transaction using the “Export Transactions” button in the top right-hand corner of the My Transactions page will give you two options:
- “Export Matching Transactions” which will consist of any remaining transactions after filters are applied
- “Export All Transactions” which will ignore filters and export all of your data
