Binance.com has ended support for most US users, however the majority of these users still have access to their necessary records for tax reporting, even if they can no longer trade or use the API. TaxBit has generated a converter for files from Binance, however users will need to export multiple file types to ensure TaxBit has all of the necessary information for their tax reporting.
When you are ready to export your Binance data, get started by logging into your account. Once you are logged in, navigate to the Trade History page of your Binance account (Click on trade history in this sentance to go right to that page).
Once you are on this page, we'll need two different types of exports.
1. We need you to export the annual summary for each year, to capture your transfers in and out of Binance, as well as any income that may have been earned from Binance. This export allows you to export up to one year at a time.
2. We also need you to export your recent trade history, 3 months at a time. This option limits exports to 3 month periods, but it organizes the data in a way that ensures accuracy. Most users opt to start in January and export 4 periods for each year (Jan-Mar, Apr-Jun, Jul-Sep, Oct-Dec)
See the below visual guide for where these export buttons are located.
Once you have your files downloaded, you can select Add Transactions > CSV Import > YES (This step is important) > and then select your file. You can do this for one file at a time, and once you have imported all files you should be all set!
Please reach out to our Support Team at support@taxbit.com or with our in app chat button if you have any other questions.
**Disclaimer - This guide was produced using information from other users who have access to a Binance account with active transaction data. As TaxBit cannot register for an account to produce transaction information in the US, it's possible there are some minor innacuracies in the above information regarding the location of the appropriate exports. If you find something incorrect about the above information related to where to access these exports, please notify us and we will work to get it resolved.
